I liked the sculpture because it represents the elegant, thin and tall African woman. Its bending shape brings an interesting edge to the sculture: modesty. So, I see an impressive combination of elegance and modesty. This effect is also amplified by the materials’ combination: natural wood color background and the black foreground. A nice contrast.

Very elegant sculpture. I am very amazed to see how the artist used the irregularity of the wood to carve the lady’s arm and simulate her hair or veil.

This is a beautiful and original piece indeed! And it’s a simple yet captivating enough piece that would do a great job enhancing any decor!
