Another new arrival at bluedango: the Lila Tablecloth - a decorative hand woven tablecloth featuring a traditional Mayan pattern. Handmade by rural Guatemalan women using backstrap weaving - a traditional Mayan art form. A colorful, handwoven table cloth for your kitchen or dining room table. Vibrant blue cloth with red stripe results in shades of purple. Zig zag pattern on both edges, each with second layer of weaving. Ample in size, you can use as a tablecloth, table runner, or wall hanging textile. Coordinating napkin(s) not included.

Fair trade producers work with women weavers in rural Guatemalan villages to use their backstrap weaving skills to earn fair wages in order to provide basic needs for their children and families. Backstrap weaving is a traditional weaving art form that women can perform at home, while caring for their children.
